Ingredients
- 3 ½ cups Cream Base
- 3 drops red food color
- 3 drops blue food color
Lavender Syrup:
- ¼ cup honey
- ¾ cup water
- ½ cup lavender buds
Instructions
Lavender Syrup:
- In a small saucepan combine water and honey and bring to a boil, stir occasionally.
- Once boiling take the pan of the heat and add the lavender buds, stir and cover.
- Let syrup steep for 4 hours then refrigerate until ready to use.
Ice Cream:
- In a bowl combine cream base, 2 tsp lavender syrup, and 3 drops of each food coloring, whisk to combine.
- Pour into your ice cream maker and churn. Churn until the mix starts to look solid and firm. It’s ready when a spoon is pressed across the top and it should leave an impression without collapsing for just a second.
- Turn off the machine and remove the dasher.
- Fill the ice cream container.
- Cover and freeze for 8 hours or overnight.
